Christopher S. Johnson (Chris) is an accomplished entrepreneur with a distinguished career spanning over two decades. His journey has taken him from the worlds of academic and drug research to the realm of business ownership, where he has demonstrated remarkable leadership and a keen eye for opportunity.
Early Life and Education
Chris’s academic foundation was laid at Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then pursued his passion for science by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Pathobiology from Wake Forest University’s Bowman Gray School of Medicine.
Entrepreneurial Ventures
After graduate school, Chris embarked on a successful career in drug research, holding positions at Pathology Associates International and Charles River Laboratories.
In 2005, Chris’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Vet Path Services Inc. and VPS Archives LLC. These companies provide expertise in pathology, histology, and archiving services to the global drug development industry, and Chris lead their finance, legal, and regulatory teams. Vet Path Services and VPS Archives experienced significant growth and success, ultimately leading to their acquisition by StageBio in 2018.
In 2022, Chris co-founded CX Advanced Solutions LLC and CX Software Solutions LLC, two companies focused on providing innovative collaboration solutions to a broad array of industries. Demonstrating his adaptability and business acumen, Chris leads the finance and legal teams for both companies, contributing to their growth and continued success.
